What is PEHPplus?

Health insurance simply can't cover everything, it would be too expensive. PEHPplus saves members money on items that insurance doesn't cover through discounts with contracted providers. It is important to understand that PEHPplus isn't insurance; it simply arranges better pricing for members who pay the contracted provider directly.

Is There an Additional Charge for the Program?

No, all PEHP members have access to the PEHPplus program at no additional charge.

How do I Identify Myself to Receive Discounts?

Simply identify yourself as a PEHP member by showing merchants and providers your PEHP Health Insurance Card. Some services allow members to shop via telephone or on-line. When shopping on-line, the PEHPplus web site links you directly to our provider's web sites so there is no need to enter your PEHP member number.

Are the Discounts Retroactive on Previously Purchased Health Club Memberships?

Occasionally, we'll hear of a Members that has joined a health club and then found out they were eligible for PEHPplus pricing. In this case, please talk with the health club directly; some clubs will grant the preferred pricing retroactively, others won't.

How are Services Paid For?

As non-covered services, you pay directly for any service you receive. Unless other arrangements are made with the provider, your payment is expected at the time of service.

What are PEHPplus Specials?

In addition to regular discounts, some of the providers who participate in PEHPplus offer specials through out the year. The specials offer savings over and above the regular offering. To be informed of the special offerings you must Register with the program. Register by simply clicking on the Email Me Specials link on the main menu.

Are PEHPplus Discounts and Services Covered Benefits?

No. PEHPplus goods and services are not covered or paid by PEHP. Purchases of goods and services through the PEHPplus program does not affect the cost of PEHP insurance coverage, count towards deductibles, etc. We are simply using our purchasing power to secure favorable terms on goods and services.
